Debra K. Peskor, 62, of Rochester passed away suddenly on Friday, June 29th, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Ripley, West Virginia on August 17th, 1955 to the late Frederick Dana Wolfe (father) and Janet Schaumloeffel (mother). The family moved to the Rochester area when Debi was 8 years old. She is a 1973 graduate of Monroe High School.
Debi was an amazing woman who always put everyone else’s needs before her own. She loved to compete and volunteer at equestrian events, which was her passion. She owned horses and enjoyed riding them no matter what the weather conditions. She loved all animals and also owned two dogs, “Caedon” and “Boma.” Debi enjoyed traveling the world and visited many places. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She was always ready to try a new restaurant with her boyfriend Don, to babysit her grandson Luke and loved to host family gatherings. She enjoyed her job at LSI Solutions and her coworkers always spoke very highly of her. She was loved by everyone she knew and she will be very missed.
Debi is survived by her loving boyfriend of 2 years Don Gay, son Eric (Jamie) Peskor, son Kirk Peskor, brother Michael Wolfe, sister-in-law Donna Wolfe, brother David (Andrea) Snyder, brother and sister-in-law Gary and Carlene Gay, nephews Chris (Sarah) Wolfe, Nick (Kathlin) Wolfe and Greyson Snyder, grandson Luke Peskor, great nephews Jacob and James Wolfe, along with many loving friends.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 7th from 2pm – 5pm at 25 Locust Hill Drive, Rochester, NY 14618.
Dear Friends,
I met Deb soon after Eric was born in the hunt field of
the Hopper Hills Hunt Club. She was a beautiful friend,
and will be missed.
Much Love,
John Bartholomew
Debi is an inspiration to all, demonstrating how to live life with a fervor, enjoying life to the fullest and giving all her various communities much love through many hours of volunteering and guiding the younger horse community. Condolences to her family and friends,Barbara Hyams
My husband, Al and I are so sorry for your loss. We knew Debbie when she worked at Dickinson’s Animal Hospital, and we became friends. She was a wonderful, kind person. I will miss her smile and her wonderful sense of humor. You are in our prayers.
I remember Deb well, she was always upbeat and a pure pleasure to work with. She joined LSI in June 2014 and I retired in March 2015, so we worked together for just shy of a year. I recall how she was one of the best front lobby receptionists in my 14 year history with the company, she always anticipated my needs when I had a guest coming and had the paperwork ready, very nice as I usually forgot to ask her for that! She had a tough job, as back then there was only the one entrance and she was literally the “first impression” of LSI that all visitors received, she handled it wonderfully. It was a compliment to have her remember me when I was invited back for a visit a couple of months ago. My sincere condolences.
Debi will remain in my heart and memory as a volunteer that all other volunteers should emulate. I first met Debi in Western New York Pony Club where she served in many capacities. Debbi was loved by parents and children alike. She will be remembered throughout the equine community as a loving, caring, kind individual who always had a smile for everyone. No matter where you went, or what kind of event you attended, driving, eventing, fox hunting, dressage, etc., there Debi was participating in whatever capacity she was needed. We will all miss her and will keep her wonderful family in our daily prayers.
Deb was my FAVORITE!! We had a friendship that no one could understand. We laughed every single day, even when we probably should not have. We both gave LSI a show every single day. She was rude, loud, and I loved EVERY BIT OF IT. i am going to miss my friend very much. Prayers for the family and friends that are left to celebrate her life, and keep living!
Debi I am going to miss you and your incredible, funny, loud, upfront, kind and strong personality. You were THE best receptionist LSI has ever had. I was supposed to get back to you about your idea for my knees! You were always letting me know if I was walking or wobbling. 🙂 You were one tough cookie and it was a pleasure knowing and seeing you every day upon my arrival and departure. It just isn’t the same here without you Deb. My condolences to her loved ones that are going to miss her more than her 2nd family here at LSI.
Who is going to chase way the resident geese???
Miss you Deb. Rest easy my friend
We are so saddened to hear of Deb’s passing. She was vivacious and full of life & laughter – we shared her love of horses and dogs (especially German Shepherd’s). Always a tireless volunteer at MANY equestrian events over the years. She used to tie Fred’s bow-tie at the Hunt Balls… neither Fred or I really wanted to learn to do it because it became a ritual and they both joked about it yearly. We are praying for you and your family, Deb. You have left us too soon and very sad. Godspeed!
With Love and Sympathy, Diane & Fred
I worked with Deb for about 20 years at Dickinson Animal Hospital. Sorry for your loss. Prayers for the family.
Debi!!! You were a kind, funny and strong person that left an impact on many of us at LSI. You were our work mom and didn’t hold anything back. You made us laugh, yelled at us and truly a beautiful, genuine person. You ran me off the road almost every morning; my morning drive without my “speedy Gonzales” isn’t the same. You will be truly missed!
Prayers to her loved ones.
Dear Deb – You my Friend were taken way to soon – they say God has his reasons but I sure don’t understand this time. I never told you how much I valued our friendship – I hope you knew… you are now flying high lady!!!! I will bring you a cupcake when I see you again…
To Deb’s family – we at LSI loved her very much and will miss her terribly… I counted on her “words of wisdom” every morning and every evening as I left… I will miss her so very much – she was a true and honest person to a fault – she was not shy to “speak the truth”… and if there were words that needed speaking – she spoke… God bless you all and I am hoping that you can make sense of this and all find comfort in your many memories.
This is very sad news. Debi was a nice person and I will miss her a lot. I was a delivery driver to the Dickinson Animal Hospital in Webster. Always had a kind and friendly smile.
