Ontario, NY: Cathy passed away on the 28th of August at the age of 45. She lived happily in Bloomfield, New York. Cathy was predeceased by her mother and father, Teressa Ammerman and Alan Smith, as well as her older sister Brenda Reynolds. Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 19 years Toby Rothfuss and daughters Rachael and Samantha Rothfuss. Cathy is also survived her older siblings Kim Newberry and Jeff Smith; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and lifelong friends.
Cathy loved camping at Krings Point and spending weekends at Keuka Lake. She enjoyed reading and watching movies on rainy days. Cathy loved her family and spent every second she could caring and supporting them for two decades of her life. Cathy worked as a Deputy Clerk for the town of Farmington, her coworkers loved working with her and she enjoyed working for the town.
The Rothfuss family would like to thank everyone for their support during this tough time.
There will be a service held in Cathy’s memory on September 14 2019 at 11:00 am. The service will be held at West Bloomfield Congregational Church of Christ, 9035 NY-5, West Bloomfield, NY 14585. A celebration of life will immediately follow.
Cathy was such a lovely young woman in all respects, I know you already know that, but it’s worth repeating. She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Cathy I am so upset I can’t believe this right now! I am so sorry I didn’t call you more. When I talked to you you told me you were fine and you were not gonna die on me. Now I see this and I am so heart broken. You were my best friend in school and after school. Girl I love you so much and I’m gonna miss you so bad. Rest in PIECE my friend and know I love you!
