Rochester, NY: September 16, 2021 at age 72. Charles passed away after a short period of declining health.
Charles is predeceased by his father Wilson Ntumi; mother Charlotte Dikazolanga; children: Nzuzi Tuvibidila and Anyuto Tuvibidila.
He is survived by his wife Mpambu Luyinunu; his 12 children, 49 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Born in 1949 in Nsundi-Lutete, Democratic Republic of Congo, Charles graduated from the university of Lubumbashi in 1973 in polytechnics as a metallurgist civil engineer before beginning his career at Kilo-Moto gold mining. Expert in mining and social environment, he has been a special advisor to many CEOs and to the secretary of mines.
Charles was a member and co-founder of many non-profit organizations in the Congo on children rights, women rights and mining cooperative.
Charles moved to the United States in 2012. He had a passion for writing and had written many poems. In November 2020, he published his game book called “The mathematical clock reading game”.
Charles loved to cook; and for his love of cooking, he did not only cook for himself but had the joy in cooking for others by sharing Omelette Chouchou with family and friends in a way of showing his love in times of happiness or sorrow. Charles was able to obtain his cooking certificate because his wish was to bring Omelette Chouchou to a commercial level and leave the recipe behind as a legacy.
Charles was a fervent Christian and a true believer who has served his lord by being involved in church in multiple ways.
Charles was also very involved in his community and contributed a lot in building the Congolese community here in Rochester NY.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 25th at 10:00am at LifeTree Fellowship 321 East Ave, Rochester, NY14604. Burial immediately to follow at White Haven Memorial Park 210 Marsh Rd, Pittsford, NY14534. There will be a reception to celebrate his life at 3:00pm at 3736 Saint Paul Blvd, Rochester, NY14617.
Mr. Charles Tuvibadila was a friend whom we talked about memories,souvenirs and culture of our home country and the university of Lubumbashi which we both attended.He was a smart engineer and an elder of our community.He will be greatly missed.

In anyhow we thank GOD for his life and death.
Difficult to believe his death especially fare away people like me in the family. It’s a hard time for us. What can we say. I believe nobody can stop the willing of GOD. No word can describe what the all family is feeling right now.

My condolences to Papa Charles’entire family. May his soul rest in eternal peace. I will never forget Papa Charles because he was a good friend of my maternal uncle who was also a civil engineer. They both attended the same University and graduadted almost at the same time. I had a great pleasure to meet Papa Charles because he told my mom and I some stories about my uncle and his five when they where young adults. I was also very touched when I heard that Papa Charles visited my cousin who recently got married. He told her that I have nothing to give you, but get this book that has got alot of advices about marriage and the management of the household. She was very appreciative of that gift from him and she has his memory engraved in her. Rest in peace Papa Charles. You will always be remembered for impacting people’s lives.
