George Robert Buckley II, known as Rob or Chief, residing in Canandaigua, NY at the young age of 51 passed away on June 24, 2022. Rob, born on September 1, 1970, grew up in Falmouth, MA and studied Culinary at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School. He went on to be a Chef and Chief Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard, from which he retired in January 2010.
He was predeceased by both parents Kathleen Noonan and Dennis Noonan. He is survived by his two children Braighan Buckley, daughter and George Robert Buckley III, son and Dennis Noonan, brother.
Rob spent his retirement in upstate NY, involved with the VA and learning the art of candle making, a personal passion.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Wounded Warrior Project and/or National Veterans Foundation in Rob’s memory.
Rob’s Memorial Mass/Burial will be held Wednesday August 17, 2022, 12:30 PM at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave, Bourne, MA on Cape Cod.
Rob will be dearly missed by Family, Friends, and Coasties.
Man,I am gonna miss you Rob. You lit the fire in me to be the best chef and Coastie I could be. I owe my entire career to you. Your love for your kids was only surpassed by your large smile and laugh. I will always cherish the moments we shared underway and at home with families. Love you broseph. Fair winds and following seas. Til we meet again.
