Alexander D. Napolitano

Alex

Alexander “Alex” Dominic Napolitano

June 15, 2018, Webster, NY -Passed away suddenly, only steps away from where he was born 21 years ago at home.

Alex was 2014 Webster Thomas HS graduate. He was an intelligent young man who was fascinated by history, an extraordinary mathematician, a self-taught computer coder, and an avid lover of laughter. He appreciated the simplicity of life and believed in the practical over the frivolous. Alex was sensitive towards human suffering and was a champion for animal rights. His love for all creatures was evident at the age of 2 when he vehemently refused to eat meat or animal products for humane reasons, a practice he continued well into his late teenage years. Alex took pride in his ability to rescue and care for injured animals. Throughout his lifetime, Alex tenderly cared for several cats at home, especially Mittens and Jamie, as well as spent time entertaining, grooming, and fundraising to help those waiting for adoption at his favorite shelter WCHS (see below.) Despite some obstacles, Alex was eagerly looking forward to making plans for the coming months. Alex was a beautiful soul and a handsome young man that was senselessly taken from his family before they were ready for him to leave. We will fondly remember his infectious sense of humor, his smile, strong opinions, ability to question all perspectives, and the deep love, connection, and admiration he had for his brother.

A memorial mass for Alex was held on Thursday June 21 at Holy Trinity Church in Webster. A private gathering for Alex’s immediate family and close friends will be held on his birthday, August 2, 2018.

Predeceased by his great grandparents Fred and Dorothy Barben and grandparents Domenic and Rose Napolitano, Alex is survived by his parents, Dominic Napolitano and Marcia Napolitano (Marla McBride), brother Nicholas (Brittany) Napolitano, grandmother Dianne Barben Steeley, Uncles Peter Napolitano (Suzanne Martin) and Daniel (Cindy) Barben, Aunt Mary (Vladimir) Temelkovski, cousins Jason Temelkovski (Margaret Little), Jennifer Temelkovski, Donna Richardson, John (Janet) Napolitano, Carla (Patrick) Augino, and many other extended family members and friends.

I am so sorry you are having to go through this. I know it can’t be easy , especially because he was so young. He seemed like a remarkable young man and you can be very proud. He was so tuned into the world around him and you don’t see enough of that today. Again I a so sorry.

    Marcia,

I have no words to express as comfort as having Jordan , Chloe , and Alliet make me aware of how fragile life can be everyday. The loved ones around us are never taken for granted. Love through the best of times and good memories as those can never be altered. Recall them with fondness and laughter as these are the reflections that need to be remembered. Live in the good memories and know that those are the cherished moments that are everlasting. I love you cousin and share your bad days and the good. Stay on the good. Cousin Jeff.
