ROCHESTER, NY: Barbara L. Clark, age 73, passed away on December 3, 2019, after a long battle with dementia. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years, Walter John Clark. She was also predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Ida Mae (Bisher) Jeffords and her siblings, Robert Jeffords, Margaret Gurnett, Beverly Smith, Douglas Jeffords and Patricia Daunce.
Barb is survived by her loving son Richard (Susan) Sulimowicz of Rochester, NY, and her loving daughter Sharon (Jennifer) Robinson-Sulimowicz of Ithaca, NY, who were both by her sideduring her journey home. She is survived by her daughter Adeline Montgomery of Brockport, NY and son Daniel Sulimowicz of Fairport, NY, as well as her step sons, Michael (Kelly) Clark of Hilton, NY, and David Clark of Chicago, IL. Barbara is survived by grandchildren Tessa, Lucas, Duane, Tiffani, Amanda, Shane, Marisa, Bret, Carter, Ella and Meghanand several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Stanley (Karen) Jeffords of Winter Haven, FL.
Anyone who knew Barb would agree that she was a Force of Nature who will never be forgotten. She was a strong woman who worked hard her entire life— until she retired at age 48 and relocated to Lake Wales, FL where she and Walter lived until 2018, when she returned to Rochester. She loved her beer and she loved her “honey buns, Wally.” In recent years she began suffering from dementia and ultimately succumbed to this horrible disease. Her family wishes to extend their immense gratitude to the URMC Hospice and Strong Palliative Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital who took incredible care of Barb and her family during her stay. She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed. Anyone wishing to contribute in Barb’s memory may donate to the above organizations or to the Rochester Presbyterian Home who cared for her when she first returned to Rochester in 2018.
The family would like to invite all those who wish to attend to a Celebration of Life for both Barbara and Walter (John) who passed away in August 2018 which will be held at Bella Pasta Restaurant, 2500 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY, on December 14, 2019, at 11:30 a.m.
