Carol made my introduction into the Norwich NY Community as United Way director so easy and fun. She and I worked at the Chenango United Way for 10 years. Nothing ever stopped her from getting the job done or being a concerned member of the community. I learned so much from her–about the working of the United Way but about how to view and embrace the community as an outsider.
She always had a smile. She was also willing to help. And she made sure Homer, her late husband was there to help.
We spoke on the phone every few months to play catch up. When she did not return my call at the end of March I had a feeling something was wrong. She always returned calls to set up dates for lunch. I miss her, her wisdom and her humor and send my condolences to her loving family.
