January 20, 2018.  Cecily is survived by Edward H. Carman III, her loving husband of 73 years; children: Edward H. Carman IV (Susan) of Middlesex, NY, Nancy M. Carman of Falls Church, VA, and James S. Carman of Davis, CA; grandchildren: Edward H. Carman V (Dana), Scott C. Carman (Katherine), Bradford C. Carman (Tara), Melissa C. Skodzinsky (Mark), Colin B. Carman; and 10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents (Elizabeth) Grace Common Bishop and Dr. Fred Margeson Bishop; and sister Dr. Anne Bishop McKusick.

Cecily attended Monroe High School, and Cornell University where she met Ed, the love of her life. She was a member of the Junior League, Board Member of Rochester General Hospital, and volunteer at numerous other organizations. Cecily was a homemaker extraordinaire, and a gracious hostess.

Cecily and Ed raised their family in Rochester, NY, before moving to Potomac, MD. After 35 years, they returned to Rochester to Cloverwood Senior Living community in Pittsford, NY, where they have resided for nine years.

The service will be in the Chapel at the Third Presbyterian Church at 10:30 on Friday, 1/26/18. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Cecily’s memory to the Highland Family Medicine Emergency Fund, in care of the Highland Hospital Foundation, 1000 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14620; or to Friendly Senior Living, 3156 East Ave., Rochester, NY 14618.
