Rochester, NY – Claire E. Lanzatella, 76, of Rochester NY passed away peacefully on June 16 surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her mother Mary Mack and father, Valentine Godkin.
Claire was well known for her business of 28 years, The Bed and Breakfast at 428 Mt. Vernon. She loved her family and loved spending time with them. She had many interests including rehabilitating any/all kinds of wildlife, baking, cooking, and bird watching. Some of her favorite things were flowers, butterflies, toads, frogs, and time at the lake.
Claire is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Philip Lanzatella, her sons Philip (Melody) and David Lanzatella, daughter Christine (Richard) Wildman. Grandchildren Johnathan Shankovich, Ashley (Scott) Prior, Lauren & Philip Lanzatella, Matthew (Sandra) Lanzatella, Joshua (Courtney) Cawley, Alexander Wildman, Nicholas Cawley, Benjamin Wildman, and Claire Wildman, Kaitlin and David Lanzatella Jr. Great grandchildren, Carmella, Dominic and Giovanni Lanzatella. Beloved sister-in-Law Mary Lou (Bill) Kremer, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, many life-long friends and her friend and caregiver Carmen Zuniga.
Church services will be held 9:30AM Friday June 22nd at St Cecilia’s Church, 2732 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14622. Immediately following the service, friends and family are invited to Nick’s Sea Breeze Inn, 4581 Culver Rd, Rochester, NY 14622.
