Erna loved her job and all of her students as a school bus driver at Honeoye Central for nearly forty years. She truly enjoyed “her kids” and seeing their activities and watching them grow up. Whether snow; ice; sleet or hail,
Parents knew that she would have their children home safely.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to her caregivers at The Highlands at Pittsford
Donations in lieu of flowers to: The Richmond Fire Department; American Legion Post 1278 or The National Parkinson Foundation.
May Erna Rest In Peace and my condolences to the family. I remember Erna as a nice lady and always had a smile and always welcomed us kids into her home.
Rest in Peace Erna, you will be missed by all. Thinking of the entire family at this difficult time. Enjoy the many memories and I know there are plenty.
Erma had a nice long life….she was a fun person and will be missed! I enjoyed seeing her and Bud at the Gun Club when I would visit Honeoye – they were both pillars of the community. Heartfelt condolences to all the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Erna always had such a heart of gold. She was a kind lady who I will always remember with fondness. I specifically was touched by how caring and supportive she was to all the sports teams. We would always be so happy to see that she was our driver to sporting events.
One year she even baked a birthday cake for me when we had an away game.. heaven certainly gained an angel with her 😇
My sincere condolences to all of the Plain Family. She was a beautiful soul, may she rest in peace.
I have very fond memories of Erna & Bud. They lived good lives & now is their chance to Rest In Peace together.
I adored this woman. She helped me through some very tough times! I still have a silver pin she gave me. “Angels by my Side”, I will always treasure it! RIP Erna, your with Bud now dear woman.
I enjoyed the years I got to work with Erna she was always joking around harassing someone! She will be greatly missed! She is now with the love of her life, Bud! Rest easy lovely lady!
I remember her as a great bus driver. She will be missed by all. My thought and prayers to her family there’s a new angel in heaven today

Aunt Erna…may peace be with you and all of the family. Many good times to remember and cherish….even though you did make me eat lima beans & peas. Love & Miss you.
I speak for myself as Erna’s brother…you were blest to have Erna as your mother, grandma, great-grandma, aunt and sister, your bus driver and the guardian of your children! I loved you as you have loved me most! We’re blest that you are reunited with Bud, your great love and that you are no longer in pain and frustration! Thank you Lord for theo blessing of Erna in my life and my family’s!
I only met Erna and Bud a few times, but greatfully visited with Erna last July at The Highlands of Pittsford. I knew her mostly thru my husband Skip, sister Jean and granddaughter Jeanine. Erna was truly loved and admired and I consider it an honor to have known her!
Sorry to hear of your loss. Seventy years ago, Erna, my cousin, watched me and my siblings while my mother worked. Rest in peace Erna.

Erna was a mother to so many of us that road her bus. She dished out love and told you like it was at the same time. If she felt you needed a kick in the backside she would do that too. I never remember any of the kids on the bus acting out…we were to scared too. From the Pierpont, Green and Buckelew gang we will miss you. From the Fisher’s we send out love to her family and thank you for sharing her with us.

So sorry for your loss. May the memories you hold in your heart bring healing and peace to your family.
Mrs Plain was the first person I saw when I boarded the bus for kindergarten. And for years she was always grandmotherly, funny, and I felt like I was part of her family. It saddens me today to learn of her passing. My heart goes out to her family.
I miss her often she was truly a grandmother to me for a long time. I miss Floyd also. But just to do a spell check it’s Devan cratsley and Haylee cratsley are my kids correct names. Hope you’ve been resting in piece my dear.
