Rochester, NY: Germaine Caroselli-Froehlich passed away after a long illness. Survived by children Paul and Sara; son-in-law Baris Kaymak; grandchildren Ela and Aylin; sisters Marlene Caroselli and Patricia Rintels and brother Dominick Caroselli; pre-deceased by sister Linda Edison. She will always be remembered by family members and friends who loved her kind soul, singular artistry, and generous spirit. Anyone who knew her felt her gentle goodness.
A graduate of Jefferson High School and SUNY Albany, Germaine returned to her alma mater to teach English and later worked as a technology specialist throughout the City School District.
Germaine will be interred at White Haven Memorial Park; a memorial service will be held there in late spring.
Her life’s many passions included music, art, and poetry, but above all, Bob Dylan.

I shall never forget my dear friend. I was lucky enough to have her friendship for over 50 years. Bob Dylan….
Germaine was such an amazing artist with a heart of gold. So many cards received unexpectedly and with such creativity, always with the kindest words. May her soul rest eternally in heaven. With love and fond memories always…
I will always be thankful for having known Germaine as a friend, co-worker and someone who more than once saved me from making greater mistakes than usual. Her reasoned approach to our work often made complex tasks doable. I will miss Germaine and the times we’ve spent “learning on the go”.
My deepest sympathy to Sara and Paul, her sisters, brother and grandchildren. We have lost a dear friend. I will miss her smile, her generous and kind spirit who would help anyone at anytime. She impacted the lives of so many students and teachers throughout her career.
Our sympathy on the passing of your mother.

It’s been three weeks this morning that life changed. The loss of my life-long friend and sister in my heart is very much with me everyday. Sweet, gentle, loving Germaine will forever be in my thoughts, my prayers and remain a part of who I am. May all of you, her family she so deeply cherished and loved, find comfort and peace as time attempts to heal. My prayers are with all of you and a sincere hope that you will someday find strength in remembering our beautifully unique, selflessly loving Germaine, your devoted mother, adoring grandmother, and loyal sister.
Love and God Bless You All,
Carol
I owe my profession to Germaine, as she was the person who got me in to computers with my first VIC 20. I have fond memories of her basement and her showing me the latest and greatest in the Apple world (at least as far as the late 1980’s had to offer technology-wise).
