Helen Mae (Gailor) Stigliano of Brockport, New York, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

Helen was born on March 31, 1939 in Saratoga Springs, New York to William, Sr. and Helen Etta (Whitney) Gailor

She enjoyed baking, shopping, crafts, sewing, gardening, birds, butterflies and trips to the casino as well as spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She held jobs at many Rochester-area companies, including A&P, Frontier Communications, Kodak and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Bank. She also worked at Lista’s Italian Restaurant in Brockport, where she met her husband.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Edward Stigliano, Sr. and their four children, Edward, Jr. (Sandy) Stigliano (Enville, TN); Lori (Robert) Snyder (Clifton Park, NY); Christy (Brian) Collins (Goshen, NY) and Terri Rodgers (Marcellus, NY). Honorable daughters, Carrie (John) Felluca (Irondequoit, NY) and Cheryl Pitman (Marcellus, NY). In addition, she leaves behind seven grandchildren – Sean, Chelsea and Erin Collins; Paul and James Rodgers; and Emily and Adam Snyder; two sisters, Doris Lista (Brockport) and Mary (Joel) Johnson (Mt. Vernon, Ohio); one brother, Daniel Gailor; one sister-in-law, Frances (William, Jr.) Gailor; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and grand-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William and George and nephew George Gailor. She was cherished by all and will be greatly missed.

Graveside Service: Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, East Canal Road, Brockport at 11:00 a.m. A reception to follow at Brockport Area Veterans Club, 222 West Ave.
