Howard Barraclough Sr.

Howard Barraclough Sr. - Attica, NY - Rochester Cremation

Howard Barraclough Sr., of Attica, NY, went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2020 with his family by his side. Howard was born July 23, 1935 in Hamburg, NY. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Beverly J. Wilson, Son- In- Law Larry Bellucci and Daughter- In- Law Evelyn Barraclough. He is survived by children Laurie Bellucci, Howard Jr. (Kim Galford), Lisa & James Neary; Grandchildren Laura & Nick Hanobik, Lea Ann & Jessie McEwen, Jimmy & Danny Neary; Great Grandchildren Mason & Abram McEwen; and Howard’s loving wife Diane Storch and extended family.

Howard was a long time member of St. Paul U.C.C. in Attica and was a member of the choir. Howard served on the church council and worked many hours at the church doing whatever he could do to help his beloved church. He was a life member of the Attica Fire dept. serving many of those years as an officer. Howard took so much pride in the old Mack fire truck and make no mistake, that was his baby. He was also a life member of the Wyoming County fireman’s Association, Chiefs Association, and State Association, and an Attica town Councilman for 38 years and 12 years as the Deputy Supervisor.

Howard was a pillar of the Attica Community. He probably never knew the amount of lives he impacted in a positive way. If you knew him, he was your friend. He was a family man and was a wonderful role model for his family and all who knew him. Howard, you have left a void in our hearts but we all know your light will shine on this Community forever.

A private service will be held Saturday, October 10th at St. Paul U.C.C. Following the private service,  the family encourages all family and friends to attend a fireman’s service and celebration of life at the Attica Park (Exchange Street) at 11:15 AM followed by a luncheon. Interment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul U.C.C. or the Attica Fire Dept. in Howard’s Memory.
