Judith A. Mattern

Judith Mattern, Rochester, NY, Rochester Cremation

Rochester, NY:  October 27, 2018.  Judith was born May 28, 1945 in Rochester, NY.

Predeceased by her parents Willard and Violet Mattern.  Survived by her sister, Janet (Dennis) Koslicki; nieces Barbara (Paul) Maurer, Julie (Joe) Commisso, Matthew Dupre (Jude Dunn), Carrie (Jonathan) Smith; 10 great nieces and nephews and 4 great-great nephews; her best friend Anne (Ian) McAndrew and Goddaughter Jeanette (Matthew) Crumptom, all of England.

Judy was a devoted aunt who spoiled her nieces and nephews at every opportunity.  She was witty, fun- loving and an avid Yankees fan. She loved to travel, and in the last decade, most of her travel was to attend concerts of her favorite band, The Moody Blues.  Autographed pictures of her and the band were some of her favorite things, which could be found in every room of her home.

There will be no calling hours, but friends are invited to join the family at White Haven Memorial Park on Thursday, November 1st (Pittsford, NY) at 2 pm for a service and interment.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to Golisano Children’s Hospital.

I shall never forget our years spent together when you came to live and work in Birmingham. Or the help you gave to my mother whilst I was then working abroad. My thoughts are with your sister and the rest of your family at such a sad time. Your best friend Anne
