Canandaigua, NY: Kevin D. Troy “Bull” – 57, passed away peacefully as the sun rose on August 1, 2019. Kevin is survived by his son Caleb Troy, daughter Abigail Troy, the late Daniel Troy, mother Barbara Troy and sisters Kendra (Bert) Daniels and Karla (Dale) Wells, as well as nieces and nephews. Kevin was born in Canandaigua, NY.
Kevin graduated from Avoca Central school in 1981 and entered the Navy. This led to an extensive military career spanning the Army, Air Force, Army National Guard and Air National Guard. He graduated from Houghton College in 1993. When he wasn’t serving in the military he worked for 10 years with the NYS DOT.
Kevin had a big heart for ministry and served for many years in various staff roles at Casowasco Camp and Retreat Center in Moravia, NY, Aldersgate Camp in Birmingham, NY and Vanderkamp Center in Cleveland, NY.
A memorial service will be held on August 11, 2019 at 2pm at the Northfield Church, 507 Thornell Road, Pittsford, NY 14534. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kevin’s name to Casowasco Camp and Retreat Ministry, 158 Casowasco Drive, Moravia, NY 13118.
