Rochester, NY: LIBBY MAY PERRIN 03/07/1948 – 07/29/2020 at the age of 72.
Libby was predeceased by Her Husband George E. Perrin Sr., her daughter Charmarie Ann Perrin , her parents Charles and Doris Warner, her Brother Wallace Warner and her Sister Phyllis Stockwell. She is survived by her Daughter Deloris ( Butch) Fry, her Son George ( Robayn) Perrin II, four granddaughters – Jessica, Marsha, Brittney and Genia and two great granddaughters – Cynthia and Roxi. Special friend Henry ( jimmy) Harrington.
Libby was born and raised in Rochester, NY. She married her love George on 03/11/1967. She enjoyed working at St. Mary’s Hospital for several years, later moving on to other jobs such as Bus driver for RTS transit service, shuttle driver for Lift Line medical transport then finally on to join National Ambulance service as a driver and EMT.
Libby enjoyed the simple things in life. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing, Traveling and the outdoors. She also loved to collect sea shells from the many beaches she visited and wolves, wizards and books to sit and read over and over.
She was ornery and gruff at first but if you gained her trust and friendship she’d do anything in her power to help you in your time of need, even if it meant going without herself. She had a heart of gold bigger than the busses she used to drive. One of the biggest pleasures in her life was watching her “children” grow up.
Libby cared deeply for her many “adopted children” no matter how they ended up in her care. She treated each as one of her own. She reveled in each accomplishment and was a shoulder for every setback. She didn’t shy away from giving a hug or a foot to the back side – whatever was needed. She loved ALL with one requirement – TRY – is all she asked. Numerous family, friends and strangers crossed her doorstep and the same was asked of each. She saw the best in everyone, even if you didn’t see it in yourself. Most succeeded, some did not BUT not for lack of love from “ MAMMY”!!
RIP Libby, Mom, Gramma, Mammy. Thank you for making us who we are, YOU WILL BE MISSED.
