Rochester NY:  Patricia G. Sharpe died on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Hildebrandt Hospice Center in Rochester, NY.  Pat was born in Hume, NY in 1936 and grew up at the Deep Cut family farm in the town of Portage, NY and was predeceased by her parents Charles A. Cain, Martha Andersen Cain and her brother Robert J. Cain.

Pat is survived by her four children, Timothy P. (Bobbie Sue) Cain, Rochester;  Donna M. (Jeff) Hritz, Bloomfield NY; Martin E. (Patricia) Sharpe, Marietta, GA and Kenneth J. (Amy) Sharpe of Lakeville, NY and Cannonvale, Qld, Australia;  grandchildren: Andrew and Kevin Hritz, Jacquelyn, Michael and Kimberly Sharpe and Aiden Sharpe. Also surviving is her sister, Catherine A. Cain of Henrietta, NY.

Pat graduated from Nunda (Keshequa) Central School, served in the USMC, and then commenced a 35 year career with the U of R, retiring as the Manager of Building Services at the University Medical School.   

Pat was an avid bowler, earning membership in the Hall of Fame of the Genesee Valley Women’s Bowling Association in 1994.  In 1985 she won the NYS doubles award, the GVWBA team award and all-events award. In 1989 she bowled a 290 game winning the GVWBA high game award.  This was also the highest game ever bowled by a woman at Livingston Lanes. Pat served as a GVWBA director from 1986-1988 and as secretary-treasurer from 1988-1991.  She implemented a computer system for averages and other association business.    Pat belonged to the GVWBA, state and national 600 Clubs and represented Western NY in the Empire State Games both in 1993 (Bronze Medal) and 1994 (Silver Medal.)

Pat retired to Florida in 1998 and continued golfing, gardening, reading and bowling in Charlotte and Sarasota Counties.
