Richard G. Roth

Veteran Cremation - Rohester Cremation

Greece, NY-  Sunrise: February 26, 1933 Sunset: Jan. 13, 2020

A large and loving circle of family and friends will forever miss a remarkable man.

Dick leaves behind his devoted wife of over 66 years, Carol Davy Roth, his six children, twelve grandchildren and all their spouses along with five adored great grandchildren: Craig & Kathy Roth, Genevieve, Matt & Sage Silverstein, Bill, Kristen & Emma Roth, Daryl & Tim Burke, Meghan, Doug & Margot Hattaway, Erin & Matt Olson, Shannon Burke, Garrett Burke, H. Rick & Paula Roth, H. Zachary, Jake & Miki, Max Roth, Mary-Jude & Kevin Vacca, Rick Fox, Mike & Brielle, Kayla and Mason Fox, Cynthia, Rick & Preston Convertini and Dan & Jennifer Roth.

Also left to cherish his memory are sisters-in-law Alice Crawford and Billie Bubel, many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his father and mother, George and Ida Roth, brother, Norm, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth & Alice Lorraine Davy, sister in-law and brothers-in-law, JoAnne and Jack Miller, Neil F. Bubel, nephew, Anthony Neri, and other loving relatives.

Dick was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and of his many years employed by the Rochester Gas and Electric Company.

Being in-the-know of family activities and sharing in their happiness and accomplishments was his ultimate joy.

The memories he gathered as a Scout Leader with the Boy Scouts of America were, like his love for the outdoors, life-long. Wood-working, cooking, fishing, canoeing, camping and sailing were a few of the joys he introduced to and shared with his family.

And when it was time to relax, he never met a cowboy movie he didn’t like. Where the good guys always win.

Dick’s Visitation will be held Friday, January 17th, 4-7 PM at Arndt Funeral Home, 1118 Long Pond Road (South of Maiden Lane). His Celebration of Life will be held at 7PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.

It is our hope that Dick will now have his cabin by the water, where he can leisurely enjoy the majestic outdoors and watch a cowboy movie or two from time-to-time!
