RAP

Fairport, NY:  August 3, 2018 at age 71.  Predeceased by: his parents, Sarah and Russell “Jack” Purcio; grandparents, Mary and Charles Argana; and his aunt Constance “Connie” Guarino. Survived by: his daughters, Kerri (Sean) Kanada and Amy Purcio; their mother, his former wife, and good friend Anne Beck; his grandchildren, Gabriel Romano, Colin Kanada, Joey Kanada, and Annabella Romano; his sister Elaine (Gary) Mart; and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews, including Gary Ken (Doreen) Mart, Cathy (Tad) Kring, Christopher (Novie) Mart, and the children of the Mart and Kring families. Ron is also survived by Andy (Karen) Lockwood, Craig (Jennifer) Lockwood, Wendy (Dario) Calia, and the children of the Lockwood and Calia families.

Born and raised in Rochester, Ron was a Vietnam Era Veteran (Staff Sergeant) of the United States Airforce and successful business owner, whose innovative designs were featured in and on the cover of a nationally syndicated Kitchen & Bath magazine in August of 2011.  Ron was a hard worker and dedicated to his family. He loved animals, boating, and spending time with his loved ones. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, ability to see the positive in all situations, hard work, dedication, and devotion to his family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 12:00 noon at St. Ann’s Community Chapel, 1500 Portland Ave. Rochester, New York, with a private reception to follow.

Donations may be made to the Leo Care Center in lieu of flowers.

    My condolences go out to my friend Ronnie’ s entire family and friends and especially to his daughters Keri and Amy. We are all saddened by our loss. I looked up to Ronnie like a father and cherished our friendship. The advice that he gave me molded me to be the person that I am and I will always remember that. Those of us who new Mr. Ronald Purcio, were blessed. What a man…….what a great, great man !!
