Terrance Roy “Terry” Peryea

Rochester, NY – Terrance “Link” Peryea, age 63, passed away August 8, 2018, unexpectedly at his home. He was born December 16th, 1954 in Syracuse, NY, the son of Roy and Madelon (Chapot) Peryea.

Terry lived his life in Rochester, NY. He was a truck driver for most of his career, employed by Unisource and J&J Trucking. He loved being on the road, whether it was in his truck or on his Harley. Terry received a Gold Seal Award from the Rochester Safety Council on January 26th, 1990 after heroically saving the life of a stranger from a burning tractor trailer.

He is survived by his five children Jason (Sarah), Matthew, Kevin, Thomas, & Kristin; two granddaughters Emma and Katelyn; his sister Denise; multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and close friends. He spent time biking, camping and fishing with his children whenever possible. Over the years, he enjoyed time on the water, whether swimming, scuba diving, taking a cruise with his family or sitting on the porch and watching a thunderstorm.

Please come celebrate Terry’s life at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Riverside Cemetery; 2650 Lake Ave. Rochester, NY 14612 on Saturday August 18th, 2018 from 11am-1pm. The family welcomes the sharing of memories to honor Terry’s life.
