Penfield, NY – August 10, 2018. Age 82, beloved husband and father, grandfather, and gentleman. Earned his BS in Chemistry in 1958 from McGill University, received two U.S. patents for his development of specialized film coatings, and employed at 3M Company for 36 years. He was an athlete and true lover of sports, playing semi-pro baseball, varsity basketball at McGill University, squash for the University Club, and an avid golfer.
Predeceased by his brothers Mort Leary Jr. and William Leary. Survived by his wife Catherine (Wegman), children Mary, Timothy M. Leary Jr. (Elizabeth), Bridget (John) Bennett, Annie (David) Masur; grandchildren Ruby, Oscar, Genevieve, Liam, Owen, Fiona, and Evan Catherine; brothers Daniel (Judy) and James (Joan), and many nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes his body was donated to the University of Rochester Anatomical Gift Program.
