I did not know Verna, but I know her daughter
Verna and knowing that the apple doesn’t fall
Far from the tree I know she was an exceptional
Person. May she rest in peace knowing that her
work here is done and she is embarking on her greatest adventure ever.

My most sincere condolences to the Ruoff family. I know how much the lovely wonderful woman was loved by you all. I know the pain and suffering you must be feeling seems unbearable but the pain and anguish will subside but missing her never will! You are all amazing people, warm, caring, humorous and kind which you obviously learned from your fabulous Mother and Father. From what I recall it was Mudder and Fadder! I will keep you all in my prayers as I have all these years since we first met. May you be filled with peace knowing she is surely in Heaven, never to leave your side.

I came into the Ruoff Famly later when I married Ralph in 1980. Since I have no family in Rochester, the Ruoff Family accepted me and made me feel like family as did Aunt Vern. She was not my real Aunt but I always called her Aunt Vern. She was such a special lady, always fun to be around. I so enjoyed our dinners with her and Vince at the Heritage House, later the Jade Palace. She was so adored by her children and will be sadly missed by them and myself.. It was my pleasure to have known her. Rest in Peace Aunt Vern.

We all have Mothers! We all love our Mothers dearly because from day one they are holding us, nurturing us, helping us grow into adults, giving us thousands of happy memories! And then, they leave us, forever! I lost my Mom in 2003. Aunt Ida was 91 when she left us. She had a wonderful, full life with Uncle Sonny and I still think of her a lot. We grew up on Brower Road also and our families are forever intertwined. But, there were only 3 of us, and then Uncle Billy and Aunt Vern moved into their new house; and the Ruoff clan exploded! What a wonderful Mother she must have been! To bring 7 children into the world is amazing in itself! More amazing than that is the way Aunt Vern carried herself, so cheerful and happy! Such an infectious laugh! I have many, many happy memories of your Mom! We will all mourn her death but rejoice in the thoughts that she lived a long and fruitful life! God Rest Her Soul.
