Rochester, NY: August 7, 1949 – April 17, 2020.
Vladimir “Victor” Temelkovski passed away peacefully on the night of April 17th at the Jewish Nursing Home in Rochester, NY. He took comfort in the many visits of his family and friends (especially if they came with sweets!) and was never too tired to miss out on a hand of online poker.
Victor was born in Yugoslavia (Macedonia), and was the middle sibling of three sons. At a young age, he traveled with his family from Yugoslavia to Australia, and then on to Rochester, New York where he settled in and called home. Vic was an avid sports fan, and his athletic build made him a natural born soccer player. He enjoyed watching just about any sport he could find on TV, from football to golf, and always had a few choice words to yell at the screen if his team wasn’t winning. He enjoyed repairing anything he could around the house, and there wasn’t a car he couldn’t fix (again, along with yelling a few choice words). Vic was known for his great sense of humor and loved playing jokes on his friends and family.
Victor is survived by his wife of 42 years; Mary Temelkovski, son; Jason Temelkovski (Meg Little) and daughter; Jennifer Temelkovski (Shane Bracewell), His brothers; Boris Temelkovski and Peter (Mileva) Temelkovski, nieces; Marcia Napolitano (Marla), Helen (Jeff) Stauder and Cindy (Tim) Barlette, nephews Daniel (Heidi) Temelkovski, and David Temelkovski, sister-in-law; Dianne Steeley, brother-in-law; Daniel (Cindy) Barben; along with their families.
Due to the current situation and an abundance of caution, a private memorial will be announced and held at a later time.
Thank you to all for your continued support, kindness and compassion throughout Vic’s illness. We are blessed with good friends and family, and look forward to joining you in celebration of Victor’s life.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to the Ataxia Foundation or Lollypop Farm.
